Thank goodness. Although I have a ton of work.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Me too. I am trying to think about being a the beach tomorrow afternoon. I'm trying to forget how I was the crazy woman screaming "FUCK FUCK FUCK" in my car this morning when I realized that I was late for work and I had forgotten my breakfast, lunch, and my gym bag at home.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Aw. I skipped the gym yesterday- I didn't leave work until 8, for pete's sake. I am thinking about starting WW when I get back from Utah.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

We babysat last night. I ate boboli and Velveeta shells and cheese for dinner. Why, oh why do they have to make Velveeta taste so good?

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Mmmmmm, velveeta.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I know. It tastes so good. I'll take any excuse to eat it. I'd like to eat it today, actually, as I'm in a terrible mood and Velveeta always makes me feel better. I can't imagine that it would be a good idea, though.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I'm thinking it's a queso night. This has just been a rough week- no motivation.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I haven't worked out since before Vegas. I'm gross. Melissa and I went bowling last night. But it burns 160 calories an hour! So I burned one beer.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

"I just came across this...it seems a little self righteous of pamie (or anyone else in this forum) to imply that she shouldn't be criticized because she doesn't get paid money to do this. Doesn't she need a lot of attention and isn't that one of the main reasons she does this? Doesn't she get paid that way?"

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

What's that from?

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Uh, who were the idiots who said she didn't paid? We all pay her. Everytime we click on a page.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

The is Pamie losing it or whatever thread- a new post.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

ooooh, she didn't close that??

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Nope. So tempting to, in Utah, hit a public computer and type mean things. But I won't.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

ah, we think so alike, as I thought the same damn thing.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

hmph. Where are you jags? I'm off to lunch.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I'm off to lunch, too. I got some work done thing morning - wonder of wonders. I need to return those shoes to Ann Taylor and hit the Aveda store to get some leave-in conditioner/SPF for my hair so it doesn't totally turn to straw next week.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Yay! I just made my travel to go out to California for work next month. I'm flying direct both ways (praise LBFF) and my ticket was only $199. What's up with that? It must be because we have a thing with America West, but damn is that cheap.

I love fare wars.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Where in CA?

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

...California for work. Uh huh.

Praise LBFF, indeed. I haven't bought a bathing suit in two years, and I just found a Ralph Lauren tankini thing that is really rather flattering. And supportive.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Excellent. I was going to tell you J. Crew has a paisley bikini that was very similar to mine.

And I dreamt last night I was shopping for a Burberry baby bag.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Ooh - I never even thought about baby bags!

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

But that J Crew bathing suit looked really good on you, I thought.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

We're a long way away from needing baby bags, though.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

And I thought that J. Crew suit was precious.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Thanks, y'all - I like the J Crew bathing suit, too - but I've worn it to Destin the past two years, and I wanted to add something new to the beach rotation. I also (I don't know why) wanted to have something non-bikini for the beach trip with the Anulewicz'.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

y'all, I am freaking t-i-r-e-d.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Me too. Chris and I were going back and forth all morning. I'm beat.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Fighting or talking?

I need to convince Kevin he really, really wants to go out to OTB for dinner tonight. I need queso and a Mercedes Margarita like you wouldn't believe.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Both. More talking than fighting, actually. He started out this morning talking about how he's unhappy with his body, how he hasn't been exercising and eating well, etc. At the end of the conversation, he said, "You haven't been listening to me!" I got in the shower, he left for work, and we started emailing.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Go read Pam's new entry. NOW.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Holy cow! Not a shocker, though, considering. It is very interesting, though, that she had HannahBeth.com in the Thank You column.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

So where are y'all???? Did you notice she thanked you on the side, Joh??? And why'd she yank the archives down so quickly?

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Oh, yeah. Everyone in 3WA is acting like it's completely out of the blue and the end of the frickin' world. And how noble Pam is for paying for it for so long.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

But she made money!!!!!

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I just emailed Joh at her work address - hopefully she'll see it soon.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Yeah, but she wasn't about to tell anyone else that.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Joh, we need your reaction!

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I am mighty tempted to give her a call at work.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I am dying over here. I finished my work and have nothing to do but laugh at some of the trillion new Goodbye Pam My life is now over posts.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I find it awfully hard to believe that pamie isn't going to go back and read the threads devoted to her.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Ah! What? Going to read!!!!

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Finally! Where've you been? Working?

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Hurry!

Falafel thinks On the Border is too far for dinner. But I need my queso!

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I was outside getting sunshine.

Wow - I mean, I knew she was probably leaving, but I have no CLUE why she pulled down her archives. That smacks of *something*. I wonder if stee will quit now. . .

And she thanked Amber Starcat, y'all, I don't think it's that shocking that she thanked me.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

True. Do you think she thanked everyone with a certain forum status, or what?

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Oh - maybe. She thanked dinobeast, but she didn't thank T. Maybe that's why.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Maybe, because she thanked Meg. And BigMatt, so maybe she thanked eveyrone Practically Pamie and up or something? But T - she thanked dinobeast, did you see that? I don't get it.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Dinobeast has a higher status than T - that's why I think she thanked from a certain status and up.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Yeah, that's what must've happened.

Oh gack. ...

" I've enjoyed reading about your life, your cats, your struggle with cigarettes, your grandmother's house, your Eric (in my mind, he will always be Pamie's Eric,"

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Yeah, I saw that. Like she needs encouragement. I bet Stee is thanking the LBFF he was higher up on the thank you list than Eric.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Oh, completely!! I bet he quits now.

I only saw one thread on 3wa and it was really short. Are there others??

Maybe some of those thank yous were sarcastic, like yeah - thanks a lot. I mean, MEG? BigMatt? Le

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

There are a ton in the squishy forum.

Yeah, but you're up there above the list of posters, linked and everything.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I really don't get it. I don't.

I saw 2 in the Squishy forum.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I imagine she feels obligated to thank the high-traffic posters, seeing as they paid her rent and all.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Don't get what?

There's some in the Dear so and so, and some in dear squishites.

The theory in chat is that she took the archives down so people wouldn't download and copy them.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Ah, re=archives, that makes sense. BUT they could've been doing that all along, right?

I don't get why she thanked me. She could've easily left me off. There was no reason to, as we were never really friends, nor did we ever become them, like her and Anna Beth.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

To look gracious to Eric, would be my guess.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

It's definitely interesting. Why you're up there, I mean.

"Pamie's Eric." What jag said that?

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

She also thanked Eric's brother and parents (Kevin, Charlotte, Walt)

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I don't know - it's kind of tacky, in the sense that she's sleeping with someone else now. That would be like me giving a toast at my wedding, saying, "I'd like to thank Jeff Duncan, especially, as without that long relationship and heartbreaking breakup, I'd never be here with Chris."

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Heh.

Y'all. I have a hard time thinking of ANY site on the internet that, should it cease to exist, would make me CRY.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Well, I think Eric deserves to be thanked as the majority of her funny entires were because HE'S funny, you know? Like the wooden hand? All Eric.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

And y'all don't seem to care about my queso deprivation.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Oh no, I care. Just tell him that if you drive at the speed of Falafel, it's not far.

Only 20 more minutes.

Yeah, the people crying? It's called life

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Is there somewhere with queso nearby? Surely, there is.

What else are they saying in chat?

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Not much.

It's 20-30 minutes to get there, and there's usually an hour plus wait Friday nights.

And sadly, Teri, there is not. Believe you me, I've looked.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

You could always make queso and margaritas?

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Ooh, that could be a good Hannah/Falafel thing - you could get all drunk and cheesy in the privacy of your own apartment. I bet you could find good cheese to melt at the store in your building.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Good point. How do you make queso, though?

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I'll let Teri answer, but there's always the quick Velvetta and salsa way.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I've never made queso. Hmm.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

What do they add at restaurants to make it so creamy and yummy, though?

This is a brilliant idea, though. Queso and enchiladas.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I think some of them add cream cheese.

I'm heading home in forty minutes or so - I could consult my Rick Bayless Real Mexican cookbook (or whatever it's called) and give you a call. I wonder if foodtv.com has anything.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

http://www.foodtv.com/recipes/re-c1/0,1724,3875,00.html

That looks really good, and really easy.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

There's another recipe, but it calls for roasting your own jalapenos. Whatever. The goal is for this to be easy, and really, there's nothing easy - or romantic - about roasting a pepper.

Cold Mexican beer, however, is.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Ro-Tel has some that add cream cheese. I think I'll try one of those.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I'm going home, y'all. Have great weekends out of town and travel safe! (safely?)

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Oh, I want to have a Tamal Party!

http://www.fronterakitchens.com/cooking/entertaining/entertaining_tama lparty.html

Did you see the beer recipe, though? Damn, that looks good. You could do it with Ro-Tel, rather than jarred salsa.

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

I think I'm going to head out too. I'll talk to y'all next Thursday!

-- Anonymous, June 29, 2001

Bye, y'all - Joh, have a great weekend. Hannah, have a safe trip out west. And I can't wait to hear how the queso turned out.
