greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

lets start at the begining....we were offered a log cabin dirt cheap as long as we move it not a bad deal at all.So we went to look,I almost died not only is it a log cabin but its 2 log cabins joined together. We have gutted it{them} and should be dropping the logs this comeing week, once we get all the zoneing crap done we will be building them back up .....anyone want to help? It is looking like the end of Sept. or Nov. before they go up ,willing to pay and offer meals and shelter in return for help,we are in Northern Maryland, all are welcome skills are not required. Let me know!

I'm too far away to help, but I hope it all goes well. One of my fondest wishes was to live in a log house. Alas, it is never meant to be for me. My path lies elsewhere. You have my thoughts and prayers it's a smooth go with no injuries. Enjoy!

Make sure you take plenty of photos and number every log,we did this 12 years ago and things went well although I don't think I'd do it again, too old now, good luck!
