Protein Content of Different Grains

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Does anyone know of a good website that lists the protein content of various grains? I've been searching for TOO LONG and haven't found one. I've received some excellent advice from you wonderful people before, and I'm sure you can help me out again! Thanks in advance!

I don't remember, but when I wanted the info before I did a Google search and found it. Go to www.google.com , enter "protein content of grain" as the search term, and you should get several relevant answers in the first one or two screens. For anything, always do a google search - I am in awe at its capability to turn up relevant information.

Go to http://www.nap.edu/catalog/9825.html . It's the sight for the Nutrient Requirements of Dairy Cattle. It contains the information you are looking for. The whole book is on line for free.

Hi, Go to usda.gov and search there for nutrient values in foods. They have a data base that lists all of the protiens, carbs, fats, etc...for almost every grain or food. God bless! pam
