Great story about a big blockbuster movie starring (inter alia) Patsy Kensit. It was supposed to be set in London but the producer came to Newcastle and fell in love with the bridges and the Quayside and Grey Street etc so it's going to be produced up here now. There are apparently hundreds of enquiries from movie makers currently being processed by the relevant authorities. Also, in one of the Saturday supplements, there was an ace feature on Newcastle and how it used to be a great party city and now it's a great party city AND a great cultural and sightseeing city, too. It's nice that there's some positivity surrounding the place.

inter alia - among others?

Anyho.... I read that article on Saturday and wasn't too keen on the slant that Newcastle was a run-down city and the film would do to Newcastle what Notting Hill had done to ... Notting Hill. I think it was in the Torygraph?

Geordie - the one on TinselToon was in the Ronnie but the other one would have been either the Torygraph or the Inde. Yep re inter alia.
