S.A.L E-6

Does anybody know how to redo the nose of the proto 2000 E-6 to match the S.A.L. diesel. I saw a beautiful model at the Jacksonville show year before last at the dinner meeting but was told it was quite a pain to do. Any ideas or am I out of luck?

There was a discussion of this on SMRF - check out the archives at http://listserv.dartmouth.edu/Archives/smrf.html. Hopefully it's still there.

IIRC, you have to cut out the nose door shape, then build a new nose door, then build two frames - one in the nose and one to hold the door. It was a big enough hassle that I didn't bother to print out the discussion and save it for future reference...
