Morning.

Did you hear anything from your notify?

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

From the email I sent to Keli? Nope. But she didn't take me off her notify because I got an email from her today. I knew she wouldn't write back. What would she say? Sorry, I suck? Blah.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

It's so silly. Hopefully she realizes that she completely overreacted.

I am so tired this morning. I don't understand it. I may need a diet coke. I went to bed at 11 last night. Odd.

I made oven fried fish and potatoes gratin from the cooking light cookbook last night - I love that cookbook. You can't go wrong with Southern Living, that's for true.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

oh, that sounds good.

Is 11 late or early for you? I usually go to bed between 11 and midnight.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

I stayed up til 12:30 watching the RW. Man, they get whorier and dumber every year.

You know what I thought about last night that bothered me? That didn't really seem like Keli's writing. Maybe that's just me.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

You're kind of right. I wonder if someone else (AB?) wrote it and forwarded it to Keli to post. She usually doesn't do fairy tale-type things.

11 is right about the norm. I like to go to bed around 10:30, though. At least, get in bed then. I like to read, or whatever, after that.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

No, it seemed like Keli to me. Especially the notify. She's done those type of entries before. There was a girl type, second person things.

Frankly, Anna Beth's not that good of a writer. She has a very distinct style.

Or whatever. . .

Is 4 weeks enough time between bikini waxes?

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Yeah, 4 or 6. I've been lazy and shaving. Being poor is going to be not fun.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

That sounds about right, so long as you have enough growth. If you keep getting them consistently, you'll have hardly any growth before long.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Did y'all read Pineapple's food entries? I could only skim them because they made me to f'in sad.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Oh, yeah. I talked to her about them in chat yesterday. I miss Texas.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Yep - we emailed about Whataburger.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Teri - perfect time to write about our prom night in the Whataburger!!!

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Teri - do you and Chris have any Labor Day plans?

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

http://www.thebreastcancersite.com

Y'all visit daily, right?

Joh, what's your mailing address again? I've lost it.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Joh - not that I know of. Fred's birthay is sometime in September, but I think it's later on in the month (we'll be in DC for that).

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Fred is his dad?

I'm' trying to convince Eric to go to Atlanta that weekend. But we'll see.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Nope - Gene's his dad. Fred is his mother's business partner (he co- founded Kiddie Country) and he shares their house (Edna and Gene bought it with him). He's a second father for Chris.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

There are some really, really low fares in and out of Atlanta right now. Delta's driving prices down.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Wait - the 3 of them bought a house together and they all live there?

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Why is everyone talking about Whataburger lately? First pineapple, now Omar.

Stee hasn't updated in a good, long while. I guess he and Pam went to San Francisco this week.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Yes. Kind of odd, but not that odd.

Fred married a mean, mean lady. They had seven kids together, and she got meaner as the kids grew. When the last kid was out of the house, the wife left and they got a divorce. It was about that time (Chris was about 12) that Edna and Gene decided they had had enough of apartment living. Edna and Fred had founded the schools a few years prior, and the Anulewicz' were in a position where then could afford a house. Fred also needed a place to live, as he gave his wife everything (he's a nice guy like that, and he was pretty torn up) so he helped Gene and Edna buy the house. It's a three-level townhouse - Fred lives on the bottom level, and Edna, Gene, Chris and Nicole lived on the top two levels.

Fred's kids are all a little odd, and they're spread out all over the country, so Nicole is putting his 75th birthday together.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Ah. So he's a lot older than Gene and Edna too?

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Hmm, maybe yous twos went to lunch. I'm off now.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

I'm back now. As it's my last pre-WW lunch, I'm having a cookie dough ice cream bar.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Do you have to pay for WW online?

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Yep. $14.95/month plus sign up. I figure if I'm paying for it I'll be even more motivated. Of course, now that I'm signed up, I can't get in, and they haven't emailed me back.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Now, do you go to meetings, or is it all online?

Yep, Fred's a good bit older. Chris' parents are about the same age as mine, maybe a year older. They were just younger than my parents when they started having kids.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

All online. The meetings are all at odd times.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Okay. Maybe I'm naive, but what the fuck? I pay around $6 a month for my web hosting, and as I paid it all in one sum, I think it was $80 for the year, plus my registration.

Now, clearly pam's site was different because of the forum. But this girl? She uses a greenspun forum. So, wtf?

http://www.digink.net/2001/july/602.html

Did I just get a really good deal or what?

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Yeah, I pay $5 a month. That girl is just begging for $.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Ticky tacky. Goodness.

I think it was $80 for the year, plus my registration. I mean, including my registration.

Anything good in chat?

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Makes sense, seeing as she's all tacky like that.

I went to Ann Taylor at lunch. I was going to hit the kick ass two- story Harolds at Perimeter, but that would mean I'd have to go to Perimeter. The AT is about two minutes from here. I did find a really, shockingly comfortable matte jersey skirt, and sheer silk wrap top, and a cotton sleeveless wrap top that I've been coveting.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Yes - anything in chat?

I was running late today, so I let my hair air dry for the first time in a long while. It's wavier than I thought it was. I kind of like it. I think I'll be lazy more often.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Nope. I finished my work already, too, so I'm goofing off playing snood.

I got the cutest silk pants at AT this weekend- olive green with little peach and white embroidered flowers.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

And T, I hope you haven't missed the Harold's sale. It's unreal.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

I am reading Stee's archives. I am that bored.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

I think I'll swing by the Harold's sale this weekend. Or, maybe tonight around 8 when the mall traffic is petering out and I can have the whole place to myself. I just need some cute casual clothes. And a pair of shorts. I hate buying/wearing shorts. I do not have legs for shorts. Maybe I can get some cute capris, and wear them in lieu of shorts.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Or a cute sundress. I just don't like wearing shorts, and I don't see the difference between wearing a little skirt and wearing shorts.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Maybe, actually, while I'm on this train of thought, I'll buy some of those skort things from Banana Republic. I really like them, and they look cute, and my cousin Anna wore them to some of the wine auctions in CA this year, and she said that they were the most comfortable thigns, ever.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

I am bored, but that doesn't mean I have nothing to do. I am just a terrible, terrible employee held captive in my job by a very nice salary.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

I got a seersucker skort there that is my new favorite thing. 30% off $19.99, even.

I only wear shorts to the pool and sailing. There's no reason to wear them, otherwise- I just don't like them. I wear a lot of knee length skirts in the summer.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

I wore my shorts down to the beach.

That's the thing: I just don't like them, at all. I feel like I should buy some as it's summer, but I just don't like them. On me - they're fine on other people.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

If you don't like them, don't wear them. No reason to.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

You're exactly right. I won't even try them on any more. I will, however, try those skorts from BR on, even though the word "skort" makes me shudder.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

I hate shorts as well. They look awful on me.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

I don't know about the BR skorts- are they flouncy? They always have the flouncy ones, and I don't like those. The seersucker skort looks like a straight, short skirt as far as anyone else can tell. Just don't get any skorts that are just the flap in the front.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Oh, god no. The ones that just have a flap in the front are terrible.

The BR ones are sleek - not flouncy at all. It looks like a cute khaki skirt.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

I knew you'd know better.

Then that's just like mine. I love mine, mainly because I love seersucker. I even like saying it. Seersucker.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

I swear to god, if Chris ever came home in a seersucker suit, he wouldn't have time to drop his briefcase before I tore the suit off.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

I didn't know BR had skorts. We make a lot of them for girls. I don't think they make the flap front only skorts anymore

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

Yeah, every year they do some and usually they are cute kind of sundresses or wrap skirts, but flouncy.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

These aren't flouncy. They are sort of high, though - $68, I think. THat was a few weeks ago - I imagine they've been marked down by now.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

I'm going home, y'all. Have great weekends!!

T - was Ryan in Destin?

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

He was in Destin, but the girl he brought to Maggie's wedding was not.

-- Anonymous, July 06, 2001

3:30. So early to leave.

My boss isn't in today, though, so I'm thinking I'll be leaving early- ish.
