Substation Fire Knocks Out Power In OKCElectricity Could Be Out All Night
OKLAHOMA CITY, 6:53 p.m. CDT July 9, 2001 -- A fire at an electrical substation in northwest Oklahoma City knocked out power to 2,500 people Monday evening.
OG&E said that they were not sure if the fire at Northwest 10th Street and Rockwell Avenue was caused by a mechanical problem, or by a high load on the system.
They said that power could be out in the area overnight.
