I am interested in finding out about the Market St.'s history as well as its current situation. It's architecture, the neighborhoods it passes through as well as its merchants and businesses.

Answers

"Splendid Survivors" published in 1979 is a good starting pont for Market Street history. It was published by the Foundation for S F Architectural History with a foreward by Herb Caen.
