the price suggests almost ten times better than fellow argentine Bassedas - but on current evidence that does not say much.

More significant is how he works with the rest of them. Same goes for Lizerazou if they get him as well.

If we look at their reputations in isolation, the rest of the Premiere League are just there to make the numbers up, because a manure squad with those two, on paper should be unstoppable.

But thank goodness it isn't that predictable and we might get a chance to gloat if they struggle in the more physical Prem.

Swift - Is he that good? Nobody is worth 28.1m but he's an EXCEPTIONAL player IMHO. If Van Nistlerooy is a 20+ goal a season striker (and is suspect he is) i can't see anyone getting anywhere near them again this season. ;(

I am not too worried abuot it. Put someone on veron, nipping at his heels no time on the ball and he won't do nowt. Tactics will be simple, don't give them time on the ball. Get in first and hard, make them work for the ball. I wonder what he'll think of Leicester in the middle of winter, not the italien riviera is it. Take any quality player out of his game and they loose interest sharpish.

From a football point of view, I would have thought Arsenal might 've gone for him. He's very very good.

This is what intrigues me about this transfer. Where will Veron play (any ideas LR) co as far as i am concerned Man U already have the best midfield in the country if not Europe. If he plays in the middle who do you drop, presumably Scholes. If he plays wide who do you drop, Beckham. These two are world class playersand will they be happy to sit on the bench.

IMHO he will rotate Veron and scholes and Keane. If he does they will be some team. They would have won the EPL next season by a mile before they signed Veron but it has helped their squad for what AF really wants the Champions League
