If you like to tinker or play with fire...

There is a site that I have seen no one mention here; and it is orientated towards those who like to experiment, creat, build their own stuff, ect. It is Lindsay Publications, just put those words in your search engine; they sell books on subjects like make your own machine shop from aluminum castings, learn to engrave, telsa coils, lathe operation, how to build wrought iron, thermite welding, wind generators, ancient formulas, machine shop practises, plastic casting, steam engines, the list is overwelming.

I have bought from them and find everything to be truthful and aboveboard and am going to start building my own lathe from aluminum as soon as I empty the resr of these beer cans!!

Sounds like fun mitch!

When I was a kid we made a blast furnace with clay and terra cotta plant pots etc. The air came from someone's mother's vacuum cleaner. The whole thing worked quite well and we melted down old truck pistons to make various bits and pieces.

One day we turned the blower off then later switched it back on, there was an almighty explosion and the vacuum cleaner de-materialised! Obviously coal gas had gone back up the hose into the motor. Sounds funny now but we all got a good bit of old fashioned parental guidance!

Mitch, Lindsay is one of my husband's favorite publishers. It is just like Countryside, he can hardly wait until the next catalog arrives.
