Quick note, I'm in. Back later.

Roger that. Gotta go milk goats.

-- Anonymous, July 13, 2001

I'm clueless about goats. How often do you have to milk them? Twice a day like cows?

I need help with my bts_moderators email. They are not getting to me very quick, like hours later. Maybe I will have to use the Jim and Joy emails and not that one. I don't know.

I'm sorry Joy, yes twice a day, and I'm milking 3 right now, about a gallon each milking. Then I have to pasturize the milk, (heat it up) cool it down, and put in the fridge.

Cindy, I hope you're checking this one. I think it's the only place we can communicate right now. I sent a message to the bts mods email this a.m. Did you get that?

Can't we use this spot to discuss what's going on? We can always delete it later before anyone else gets here.

Oops, I just got the copy of the message Jim sent to you Cindy. This spot is fine with me. I was just online to eat my breakfast, now I have to go finish up some other stuff. I'll be back in about an hour (11:30 CT/12:30 ET), then this afternoon, my dog has a "play date" so I'll be gone awhile then.

For your benefit, Cindy, this is what I sent to the mods list this a.m.:

Good morning (I think) ~ I okayed a couple of more people this morning: Sam Norris (Sam in W.Va) Cass (Polly's friend, email came under "Matthew Strong") I didn't tell either of them about Walden Two, as I didn't know where that stood. But my friend Yarrow seems to know about it, so I'm confused! Except about the password -- I caught that reference, Jim! Did you ever notice in American Graffiti that that is one of the license plate numbers? I forget on whose car though. I need to do my morning stuff now. I think the others in the hotmail acct. are up for discussion. I am trying to find out if the Dee Engstrom is the Dee that Julie and I know and has posted a number of times to BTS. If so, she's okay, but I'm waiting to find out from Julie if that's who it is. Renee and Patty: Well, they were both original or really early invitees, and they don't make trouble, so I guess I'd say they should be in. I don't think it would be out of line to ask them to PARTICIPATE a little more. Sorta waiting to hear from Jim what his comfort level is. Diane Bone has been an nice participant. Cindy, what do you know about Sharon's comfort level? What kind of newcomers was she having trouble with? My own personal view of the board is that it isn't a homesteading board, it's just the interest that we, a group of friends, has in common. So there are posts on the subject. Patty thinks we're limiting our resources, but hey, if I don' get an answer on BTS, I'll post it on CS as well. If we eventually run out of conversation, oh well. Okay, enough blabbering from me this morning. Going to do my morning rounds now! Joy

************

Geez, I see that Vicki McGaugh announced on CS that she'd gotten the password and to just email Jim.

Okay, back later.

Joy,

Regarding Walden Two and Yarrow knowing about it. I responded to julie yesterday when she sent a message to the BTS mailing list (the other mailing list, not our moderators mailing list). I had meant to send the response only to julie but I inadvertantly sent it to the BTS mailing list. In that message I mentioned Walden Two and I think Yarrow is on the BTS mailing list so she probably saw it.

I do agree that this forum seems like a good place for the three of us to discuss admin. duties for BTS. And yes, we can always delete these threads if we decide to open this forum up to folks, too.

Okay, now I understand. Julie did mention that you sent it Reply to all. Her response was, "in the word's of Han Solo, 'It's NOT my fault!'" LOL!

Ok, Joy. Like I said this morning, I just didn't know about the rest. Patty and Renee, I don't know, it's up to you and Jim I quess, I'm just thinkin of Sharon. I really just don't remember them in much of the discussions. How in the world did Yarrow know about this? Where did you see that?

Yeah, I saw that about Vicki too. I did not do it. Ardie is being kinda snotty on Sharons post over there. I only sent the password to John, that's it. No more. I did not send any denials either. Just left em. Soj wanted one, didn't really ask, but I did not send one. And if Mitch wants one, I wouldn't do it either. I wouldn't send the password to any of them who get snotty like we are NOT doing the right thing, because it's obvious they don't understand BTS at all. Most of them just want to lookie-loo and then talk about us. I am being very polite over on CS, but some are still getting kinda snotty. People who never come to BTS want the password and it's just out of curiosity, like an accident on the freeway. I think it's gonna turn into a bragging contest about who got one.

I figured you two got most of the regulars last night. What are our time zones? I'm Eastern. It's 11:30am. Checked my mail just now and still nothing, nothing from Jim.

I'm gonna call MSN now. Check back later.

I see you both are here, good. Still here.

Cindy and Joy,

I posted a new thread on this forum called Contacts just in case either of you missed it.
