We got a pick up truck, YAY RAH! It's old and doesn't have that many miles considering. Thank you Jesus.

Congrats, Cindy. Smiled at the title of your post because it reminded me of the first time I assisted delivery of a goat kid. So exciting, and I kept saying NOW I'm a real country girl!!heehee When did the rest of ya'll feel you were now "real homesteadfolk"?

Congratulations!!! I don't know, Mary. I guess when I got covered in goat ectoplasm and didn't freak out, or when my goat shot diarrhea on me and I thought..."well, I'll just have a shower after I hose off my clothes", or when I was actually canning at long last, and ate my first all homemade meal. Then again, I am nowhere near as far along as I want to be!

Actually, Mary, I said I was a "real country woman" when I won my first grand champion, for canning, at the fair. There's so many firsts, and in homesteading they're so exciting.

Congrats, Cindy, on the truck! I know I'm a real country girl now because even though we have a big old pick-up, I'd like to trade my car in on a small pick-up! I would say my first homesteading ventures were gardening and canning - many, many years ago!!! I still love learning to do new things around the farm. I've done many things I never thought I would! It's such a good feeling.

Cindy I felt that way the first time we got to put farm plates on our pick-up!!!BUt the true test is....when you can unravel that confounded strng from the feed bags in one tug, then your in like flint!!!
