Is this firing rate acceptable for a 30fps game?!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MARP Editors : One Thread

I suspect that the high rate of 2, 3 and 4 frames firing rates for bit 42 (which I'm presuming is the fire button) would be probably too quick for a 60fps game but as Juno First is a 30fps game I think these are acceptable and am going to confirm SLA's new score on Juno First - which may not stand very long if I can find 6 spare hours of uninterrupted computer time in the next week or two. ;-)

I will of course take solice in the fact that the most lives he achieved were 22 lives at around the 8 million mark, and that at the time when he bet my previous high score of 10,102,870 - which I quit when I reached 40 lives in reserve - he only had 16 lives. So I'm still the better played at Juno First!!! ;-þ

Cheers, BeeJay.

ugh, entering password is bad for this board!

anyways yeah these are acceptable for 30fps, i think you multiply the Lengths by two to get a 60fps comparison. so any length=1 would be length=2, length=2 would be length=4. Although these numbers look like a Hisa recording even if you don't multiply by two. Hisa really brings some doubt to determining slowdown/autofire button presses by length, unless we can find out there is an autofire that can vary the time between presses.
