Hello, I'm gearing up for a very important (aren't they all?) short digital project soon, and am thinking about the pros and cons of the little consumer ($300 and less) mini disc recorders.

What do you think? Are they good enough for quality (whatever that means) sound? What are the drawbacks, other than the usual dual system woes?
