Use of a gossen profi-color probe

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

I would like to use a gossen profi-color probe with my gossen profisix lightmeter. Since I haven't instructions for use, could you give me some advice? especially I don't know if an additional ring must be added on the profisix to read the right filtering. Many thanks.

David,

Yes there should be an additional ring that clips onto the ring of the Profi-Six.

Keep in mind that the Profi-Colour is a two-colour Colour Temperature Meter. It reads only red and blue which is fine in natural light or tungsten. For fluorescent or discharge lamps you need to use a three-colour meter such as the Gossen Colour Meter or Minolta IIIF.
