What is a wattle cyst and how do you treat it? (Goats - Health/Treatment)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

My three week old goat has a knot under one of his wattles. He seems OK otherwise. Is this anything to worry about? If so what do I do? Thanks for the info?

According to Goat Medicine, as long as you are sure that is what it is, to leave it alone, it will go away. Vicki

I just asked this question to the Alpine talk list i am on over at yahoogroups. i noticed one of my yearlings who has wattles had a pea sized lump near her wattle. I don't have but maybe 3 goats with wattles out of 38. Well... I freaked out, lumps! EGADS! so I was told exactly what Vicki said, leave it alone.
