I've been doing tons of research on Poe and actually did my senior thesis paper on him. But there is one thing that I haven't been able to find info on recently. A few years ago I found info on the Poe Memorial Gate at West Point which had a quote from Francis Bacon ("There is no exquisite beauty without some strangeness in the proportions" or something to that effect). I have been trying for the past few days to find some kind of info on the memorial gate and have had no success. If anyone knows any info please send it to me...such as it's location, when it was made a memorial, etc... Thanks so much!
