I know folks are wondering where Lil Bit went off to after her brief reemergence, and I guess she has a computer virus, of all things...so she will be back whenever that gets straightend out. Hope it didn't destroy her new 'puter...

Also in the MIA category, I talked to Joel this past weekend. He is doing well and hasn't been online since the big blow up about Ken over {...there...}. He also wanted me to relay that he has taken the year off from farming and just has the garden and normal household stuff and is actually ~gasp~ working for a corporation on a regular standard American job. Making good money, too. The moles have destroyed his front yard and his "hundred year honey do" list is actually getting dented a bit! Things are going well and he's actually relaxing, too! His daughter is bugging him to get back on line, but he doesn't want to until he has a computer instead of webtv so he said it would be awhile, but whenever he gets on he will come here to check in with us. A great big "Hello!" to all of you from him.

Just wanted to give everyone a little update on folks that we might be missing.

Oh my gosh, that's great that you talked to Joel, and thanks for updating us! Glad to hear he and Lil Bit are OK. Most recent word on "gail missouri ozarks" is that he was finally given disability for his back, and I've written with directions on how to find us. I can't wait 'til he's back, there's a guy who really homesteads!! He's been an incredible inspiration to me, as Joel and Lil Bit and so many of you are.

Sure thing, Stan. He really did pull the plug on the net when he said he did, so he didn't get any emails after that time. Said he figured it wasn't feeding his family, so he didn't need to do it.

Please tell Joel and Becky "Hi" for me too. I also tried to e-mail them after Joel left, but couldn't get through. Altho I may not have agreed with Joel 100%, I did agree with most of what he said, and he always kept things interesting! I miss him and hope we see him back online before too long.

Guess what I'm back!! Computer Virus gone!!! Yippee! Thanks to my server in our little old berg. Comp World in Ada Oklahoma saved my computer and everything on it. God bless them! The sentiment expressed in this thread touches me. Thank you all! I am happy to hear that Joel is doing well. Upwardly mobile and all! That's wonderful.
