Webcams are neat. I have an old black and white one, but I don't know if I'll ever set it up (or if it even works really). Mostly because I'm lazy and don't want to deal with finding the software for it...

When I looked at it tonight (8/2/01), your image was all fuzzy and black after a while. I couldn't figure out whether you had it covered or it was glitching, because it worked fine at first (you had a hat on). The first black screen said something like " versionGS PE for private use only...", and then some were all black without writing. That was a little after 8pm my time, 7pm yours.

Err, yeah. The sun's going down and I didn't turn any lights on. Thanks for the reminder. =)

That "for private use only" reminder is only because the software I'm using is freeware. It's a really nice bit of programming, and if that's the worst I have to put up with I'm happy.

Hey Sarah - if you have an instant messaging application with a username that you want to make public, you might put a little link on the cam page for fans to click on. Granted, that may mean you get nothing done, and end up carrying on 8 conversations at once, but wouldn't that be fun? :-)

Uh. Let me think about that one. =)

I toyed with the idea of putting an online/offline indicator for ICQ on my journal ages ago, but when I tested it I started getting all sorts of crazy messages, mostly from droolingly illiterate hornballs. I suppose if it gets too evil I could always get rid of it... Hmm.
