Did the ACL have stations at Godwin, NC and Elrod, NC?? If so, do any photos exist that anyone might know of? If there were stations, or other facilities at these spots, when were they razed?

Odds are if a station was present at these locations, it was constructed to the ACL's Standard No.2 design or some variation thereof. Your best source of information is to go to DC and make a copy of the ICC field data books which will provide you with dimensional data, date of construction, expected life, contents, etc for every depot, outhouse, section house, coal bin, water tank etc for a given location circa 1917-18.

In 1935 Elrod NC was an agency station. There was, most likely, a station building containing the agents office. Godwin NC was non agency, with perhaps only a waiting shed. Both places were served by a local passenger train. You may want to check the files in the city library in Fayetteville for photos, or locate the county historical society. Some non-railfan in such a society may have photos.
