Grinding Corn (Need Info. on Mill)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

We are thinking about getting a mill/grinder. We are most interested in grinding corn to corn meal but wouldn't mind trying wheat or other grains. Can you give me any recommendations on good beginner types to check into? Thanks.

I use a small low cost one called back to basics, I have done corn and wheat in it and it works great.Happy hovel and lemans carry it I think it was 50 or 75 dollars.

We use the Family Grain Mill (also called Jupiter). We needed an electric one, because I have health problems and can't use any hand crank mills. It grinds grains and corn, and just about anything else, and it doesn't overheat the grains. Easy to take apart and clean, if needed.
