Y'all, can we start this back up for the next week, or no?

Ah. So much better. I don't know what's worse than having to email over the internet with a dialup. It takes forever. Miserable.

Dialup bites. I can't wait.

I really don't understand how our company's internet filter works. I'll get through to, say, 3WA and read a few threads, and then suddenly get blocked. Fortunately MightyBigTV isn't blocked this morning. My boss is out today and I have no work to do. Yay!

I'm starting to be a little down about this whole job thing. I liked having the time to do whatever, go on vacation, that kind of thing. At this point, though, I need to start earning money. Chris has no problem giving me money, but I don't want to have to do that. I don't think they're going to need as much contract work at IA as they had said, but then, they have no direction. At all. The more I hear about what's going on over there, the happier I am that I'm out of there. They actualy made one decision a week ago that would have compelled me to quit, had I still worked there.

In the meantime, I want a job. I don't have very high standards, at this point. I'm still staying away from retail, unless a job happened to open up at my favorite kitchen store. I thought about substitute teaching, but Chris was really uncomfortable with that. He's heard horror stories, I guess. I'm kind of at a loss.

Hmmm. I don't know, working at Williams Sonoma would be okay. But I think you'd spend more than you earned.

I could do Williams-Sonoma. It's interesting - if I were single, I'd probably be waiting tables right now to pass the time and give me some quick cash. At this point, though, I'm really not comfortable doing something like that, and Chris definitely isn't. It's an interesting predicament. I can see working at the Banana Republic though. I wonder if there's a dignified way to do temp work.

Not really, T. That's what I did when I first graduated. It bit.

And I spent WAY more money than I earned when I worked at Banana. But, their fall clothes are way cute. I'm saving for the patchwork boots as my reward when I've lost 20 pounds.

Joh, where did you go?

Y'all. My email account at USC. So awful. It's marymeeh@usc.edu.

Marry me!

Very cute. What will your new address be?
