I read also That Our Lord Promised Brother Estanislao(1903-1927}, 14 promises to those who Pray Way of the Cross. One of those Promises is"Even if they have more sins than blades of grass in the fields, and grains of sand in the sea,all of them will be erased by The Way of The Cross"Does that mean that if one dies with Mortal Sin on soul, That they will be allowed into Heaven? Thanks, David

David, Our Lord made those 14 promises to those who have devotion to THE WAY OF THE CROSS. Not all people who die with Mortal Sins on their soul have lived their lives with this devotion. It also does not eliminate the obligation to confess all mortal sins. Also, they must confess any mortal sin before receiving Holy Communion. Terri

David,
There is nothing wrong with trusting in promises that have reportedly been received through private revelations. Just a few cautions, though:
1. It's important to be sure that the Church has not found the claim "unworthy of belief."
2. It's important not to criticize anyone who disbelieves the revelation and/or the promises. We are never required to believe in a private revelation.
3. Promises are not magical nor based on superstition. They are conditional. Some good event will happen IF certain things are true -- and those things always include, "... if the devotee remains in the state of sanctifying grace" (as Terri so well explained).

St. James, pray for us.
God bless you.
John
