Hickory Cane Sweet Corn

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I'm starting to haul off a large patch of Hickory Cane sweet corn. This stuff gets very tall. I'm 5'9" and some is over twice my height. I can't reach some of the ears they are so high. Ears get very large. About like chopping down small trees so I can only handle 2-3 stalks at a time. However, there is a lot of feed there for my cattle.

If you haven't tried it before, consider doing so.

P.S. Since the bottom 4-6' of the stalks are so big, some don't get eaten. However, if made into silage it would be different.
