paint scheme for Georgia Road diesels

What would be an appropriate out of the bottle (ModelFlex, Polly-Scale, Scalecoat II, etc.) shade of blue for the original blue and silver paint scheme applied to Georgia, A&WP and Wof A diesels? How about the L&N blue in Scalecoat II that was custom mixed for Des Plaines Hobbies? Or is that too dark?

Ron, I would use Pollyscale C&O Enchantment Blue mixed with a few drops of MOW gray to lighten it up a bit. I have not had an experience with the SC2 L&N blue so I cannot state whether or not it would work. As far as the Aluminum, you might want to also look into the Pollyscale series of military paints, as they have many more colors that appear closer than some of the railroad colors offered. Have a good one, Justin May
