Anyone knows how to protect VCD from illegal copies ??

I don't think it can be done. I don't think the VCD format supports any kind of piracy protection. The book _DVD Demystified_ talks about this, if you can find it.

There is no way. People simply copies disc to disc (with errors ignored option).

Try using Nero. It allows you set the total data size other than the actual size, thus when you make a copy ... it fails. I have not tried it myself but it should work. But if you copy this VCD in RAW mode by using CD clone then it suceeds. The Nero method offers only basic protection and you also risk the VCD not working on some players.
