I just want to say good luck from another Wisconsinite. I live 40 miles west of Appleton and about 17 miles southeast of Waupaca.

Ditto from me, I live about 13 miles from Hudson, which is right on the WI/MN border. Way to Close too St. Paul and Minniapolis. Real estate and land prices are really high here. Good luck, I hope that someone who will appreciate the opportunity will buy it.

Thanks! This is the first time I've ever had to "show" strangers my home. It sure is a wierd and difficult thing to do. The hardest thing to do is finding someone who will appreciate it as much as we have. It amazes me how some don't even know the least thing about gardening, etc.and have no desire to. Our lifestyle has become so natural, it seems wierd others don't even have a clue. If we can't sell (hoping for a place with more land), then we'll just have to "make do" here.

Hi Pat I hope this is going to be a good move for you and your family .I wish you all the best of luck and happiness.Do you mind telling us what your future plans are ? ~Patty

This if from an ex-Wisconsinite. We used to live in Clintonville. 40 miles west of Green Bay. When we were selling, it took us 5 years. That was in the 80's. I understand that the price of land has gone up and of course the real estate taxes speak for themselves.

We learned that in the area we were in, people did not move, they just added on for the married children. It took someone from out of the area to purchase our place so you may want to place an ad in out of area papers.

Good luck to you!

Ardie,

Are you in the Wild Rose area?

pat, where exactly are you located, and what are you asking for your place? is it in town or out in the country? any neighbors?

Patty, no I don't mind you asking what our plans are. My Dads' old farm (which isn't in the family any longer) is up for sale and I would like to purchase it again. It has 13 acres, back a dirt road and has alot of memories for me. Although the house is considerably older than mine and needs alot of work, I feel the move (if possible) will simplify our lives. It'll give us more pasture for the horses, etc. I'll keep you posted as to how things go. Thanks for asking.
