Hmm...which juicer should I buy?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
Hello Juicy people,Just wondering what features each of you did/didn't like about the juicers that you have. We'd like to purchase our first juicer, and by the looks of prices, I hope it will be our last juicer:)
Thanks,

If you get a champion, it will more than likely be the last one you will ever buy. We love ours. We bought it used. Perhaps you could find a used one - maybe ebay??? The Champion is a masticating juicer and if health is your reason for getting one, I have read that the juice it makes is better and more easily digested than the cheaper type which look more like a food processor. You can also use the Champion to make baby food and applesauce.

The Champion juicer wins hands down! You can even make peanut butter with it.

You can also make pure fruit ice cream with the champion. Ymm. Use bananas as the sweetner and then which ever fruit you want the taste of - peach, strawberry, etc.

Champions are great for a hearty, nutritious juice. Acme-type juicers produce a clearer, lighter juice (no pulp). Both types have good yield. The kinds that blow the pulp out (Juiceman-type) don't get as much juice out of the fruit. I've used them all, so this is experience talking.
