We don't have rabbits, but a neighbor does and has worm bed, I asked him about it. He used a thin netting (white) that is used here N.Fl. in some way when putting in a septic tank. It comes in a roll and looks kind of like a thin interfacing that is used in sewing. Hope this helps. This person is our local Ag teacher at the high school..would think he would know..

I didnt use a bottom on mine as the dirt is good for them. They did great for a couple years [ realy cleaned up after the rabbits] then the roof rats discovered them and now there all gone.

I prefer transporting small amouts of rabbit droppings to my indoor bins. The worms benifit from it, no smell, no rats and no risk of the manure going anarobic and cooking my worms alive.
