Looking For Info On Monarch Add A Furnace

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Hello; I just moved into my retirement homestead and I have a Monarch Add a Furnace down in the basement. The controls for it are sitting in a cardboard box on top of the furnace in pieces. Do any of you all know where I can locate a set of operating instructions for this unit. Thanks!

gunner, i might be able to help you. i am going to purchase a monarch add a furnace (used). the guy i'm buying from said he knows how to run it. when i get it i will respond and let you know. p.s. i think monarch was a company out of beaver dam wisconsin , but they went out of buisness in the 1980's. you might have a hard time finding a set of instructions. if this guy has a set i could send you a copy if they are the same model.

Greetings, I purchased a Monarch Add-a-Furnace back in the spring for $25. It seems to be in pretty good shape. I was skeptical at first, but a couple of weekends ago I pulled it in the driveway and built a fire in it. All of the electrical controls on it work pretty good. After it got to a certain temp, the blower kicked on. Anyway, I was wondering two things: 1.) Are they supposed to have fire brick in them? Mine doesn't. 2.) How many BTU are they rated for? Thanks, T.J.
