My MOM is in the Hospital. She's not expected to live.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A Village Commons : One Thread

My Mom is in the hospital in Georgia. She had a heart attack. Now her heart is only pumping 25%. Her sugar level is 704 and her BP is 80/60. She is not expected to Live. FRIENDS I would ask of you this:

If your Christian: Say a prayer for a miracle for her.

If your pagan: send a positive thought form.

If your wiccan: a all heal and well being spell would be in order.

If I missed anyone a general well being thought would be nice.

Her name is Ethel Manley.

Thank you.

As of this morning at 7:00 a.m. she was hanging on. Her doctor is trying to stabilize her enough to Transfer her to Atlanta to the big hospital. BJC Medical just isn't equiped to handle situations like this.

KEN over at CS deleted my post SO I guess real life and death situations aren't related to homesteading.

I'll update later.

Thanks for your support.

Here's an update. It's 3:20 p.m. EST The ICU floor nurse just told me that with the aid of some powerfull drugs they have inched her bp back up to 100/65. Her sugar has droped to 300. Her heart is still just doing 25%.

With everything going on around the country. Atlanta has pretty much went into a state of lockdown So they won't be transfering her anywhere for 48 hours.

BJC Medical has requested a specialist to come up from Atlanta to treat her condition.

Thanks for the emotional support.

Ken: My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You and others were there for me in our time of sorrow and as you can see, there are lots here for you now. God Bless

-- Kari (wildcatt@telusplanet.net), September 11, 2001.

Kenneth- I will pray for your mom and also for you. I have some idea of what you must be going through. Your mom is fighting for her life and all most people care about are the events in New York and Washington. My mom passed away of a heart attack the evening before the Oklahoma City bombing. All anyone could talk about was the bombing, but I couldn't care about it just then. All I could think about was how I would never see mom again in this life. Hugs

Thanks everyone.

My cousin is at the hospital now and she said that Mom is doing a little bit better. So keep up the prayers and good thoughts.

Down in Georgia the main topic is that they expect gas to be $2.00 per gallon by noon tomorrow. I sure hope not.

God has your Mama in his hands and your heart. Been there and not too long ago. You have my prayers.

-- Sandra Nelson (Magin@starband.net), September 12, 2001.

3:10 p.m. WEll after the specialist from Atlanta came and prescribed some heavy drugs they are moving mom from ICU to an observation room. They intend to transport her to Atlanta A.S.A.P.

Thank you and Mom thanks you. Keep Ethel in your prayers and good thoughts.

Ken,

I just today got back online. Please accept my best wishes for your Mom. I hope everything works out for the best. I'll include her in my prayers.

-- Gary in Indiana (gk6854@aol.com), September 12, 2001.

Ken, sorry to hear of your Mom's illness. We seem to take those parents for granted, thinking they are never going to leave us. I know I realize every time I see my parents how much older they are getting, and miss my mother and father in law every day. I'll keep you and your mother in my prayers also. Jan

-- Jan in CO (Janice12@aol.com), September 12, 2001.

9:10 p.m. Talked to Mom on the phone. She is feeling a little better. Still weak but able to tell whats going on around her. She sends her heartfelt thanks and asks that you keep remembering her. If she is stable enough they plan to transport her to Atlanta first of the week by special ambulance. (One of the big rig types).

I'm hanging in there. Kinda wore down but trying to remain sane.

-- Kenneth in N.C. (wizardsplace13@hotmail.com), September 12, 2001.

Ken we will continue to have your family and your Mom in our prayers. Just hanging in there. Tracy
