My MOM is in the hospital and is not expected to live.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Freedom! self reliance : One Thread

My Mom is in the hospital in Georgia. She had a heart attack. Now her heart is only pumping 25%. Her sugar level is 704 and her BP is 80/60. She is not expected to Live. FRIENDS I would ask of you this:

If your Christian: Say a prayer for a miracle for her.

If your pagan: send a positive thought form.

If your wiccan: a all heal and well being spell would be in order.

If I missed anyone a general well being thought would be nice.

Her name is Ethel Manley.

Thank you.

I'm afraid that no good thoughts or spells can have any effect for your desire. Only God can truly heal, and He does not do so on command. I will pray that your mom finds the truth of God's grace and infinite love in providing the gift of eternal salvation through the work of Jesus Christ, for therein lies the only hope for the spirit of man. Such hope is provided with absolute assurance of acceptance by God to those who place their faith in Him and is followed by a peace that cannot be comprehended by those who do not believe: a peace that drives out the fear of death and that looks forward to eternity with God. Even Christians grieve at the loss of a loved one, but our grief is not in despair, but in joy in the knowledge that our loved one is present with the Lord.

Kenneth, I know that this hurts and you want your mom healed and so do I. But, as Skip said "There is only one God".

As of this morning at 7:00 a.m. she was hanging on. Her doctor is trying to stabilize her enough to Transfer her to Atlanta to the big hospital. BJC Medical just isn't equiped to handle situations like this.

KEN over at CS deleted my post SO I guess real life and death situations aren't related to homesteading.

I'll update later.

Thanks for your support.

Kenneth, I am thankful to hear the news on your mom. Please keep us updated. I am also praying to the Savior, Jesus Christ. Nothing less than perfection is worthy or able to heal your hurt or accomplish His purpose for your mom, you and your family. Please take comfort in this, I tell you this that you may know THE MOST HIGH is hearing the prayers of His children for you and your family. God Bless you Kenneth!

Here's an update. It's 3:20 p.m. EST The ICU floor nurse just told me that with the aid of some powerfull drugs they have inched her bp back up to 100/65. Her sugar has droped to 300. Her heart is still just doing 25%.

With everything going on around the country. Atlanta has pretty much went into a state of lockdown So they won't be transfering her anywhere for 48 hours.

BJC Medical has requested a specialist to come up from Atlanta to treat her condition.

Thanks for the emotional support.

Well it's 10:25 p.m.

My cousin is at the hospital now and she said that Mom is doing a little bit better. So keep up the prayers and good thoughts.

Down in Georgia the main topic is that they expect gas to be $2.00 per gallon by noon tomorrow. I sure hope not.

Thanks everyone.

Kenneth, is there any chance of you getting to down to see her? I'll continue to pray and thanks for the updates.

We are in the process of trying to figure out the logistics of going down and staying overnight. With all that's happening around us it complicates the trip even more.

Still praying for you and your family, may you know the love of Jesus.

Kenneth, I've been praying for your mom and all your family since early yesterday morning. I pray for your mom's healing, and for you all to know the love of our Lord Jesus. As someone else mentioned earlier, we still have to all face death some day, but what a difference knowing that it is not the end of the story, but only a turning of the page. Knowing and accepting the Lord gives us a perfect peace. Yes, we still mourn the loss of loved ones, the same as if they were going on an extended trip and would be out of our presence for a time. But we have the joy of also knowing we will see them again and spend eternity with them. I don't mean to be preachy and please forgive if I come across that way. You will all be in my prayers constantly.

Remembering your mom in prayer Kenneth! old hoot. Matt.24:44

-- hoot (hoot@pcinetwork.com), September 12, 2001.

9:10 p.m. Talked to Mom on the phone. She is feeling a little better. Still weak but able to tell whats going on around her. She sends her heartfelt thanks and asks that you keep remembering her. If she is stable enough they plan to transport her to Atlanta first of the week by special ambulance. (One of the big rig types).

I'm hanging in there. Kinda wore down but trying to remain sane.
