Reports are that Bush has landed at Offutt in Nebraska. If this is indeed true, things may be much worse that we thought.

Offutt contains the Strategic Air Command (they guys with the big toys). My husband is currently at Offutt (or last I heard)

People are bashing on him because he hasn't headed back to Washington. He has put himself where he can act as CINC to our military without delay of transmission. He is in a safe place.

You can do a search for TACAMO, and come up with most of the info.

Basically, they are a survivable link between the CINC and the subs. Now, since they have taken over LookingGlass, they have a full battle station on board (and at times like these, A BUNCH of top military brass on board). Normally they only carry one or so....
