Growing old is no more than a bad ahbit which a busy person has no time to form (Andre Maurois)

Speaking of OLD, and this is for those of us who are, chronologically, do you find it wierd to look in the mirror and see a face with gray hair but feel no different inside than you did when you were younger.

To wonder, how those words are coming out of that old face.

We are busy and that keeps us young inside which makes looking at the gray hair, wrinkles, the body that gravity has taken south, no matter how much exercise, seem so much the more odd.

Even though it is a cliche, you really are only as old as you feel and my husband, who is 66 will still do wheelies with a shopping cart in a grocery store. He is sooooooo much fun!

We will never be old!!! Don't have the time for it.

Another good one, Tom.

I sometimes catch a glimpse of myself in a mirror or a window reflection and am startled to see my mother's face there. When did that happen?

Wishing you enough.

Can't help it if I am chronologically challenged.

Talk to you later.

My husband's grandpa is 86 and he still shoots 9 holes of golf once a week. He tends a small garden patch, he drives everywhere-just took a road trip to Asheville (6 hours, one way!) a couple of weeks ago. is an avid Ham radio operator-goes to meetings and events all the time, does all sorts of volenteer work AND on Sundays, he records the Sunday school lesson and Sermon, makes copies and distrubutes them to "Old Folks"> Grandma, at 83 has a few more health problems-mostly arthritis, but she stilled put up peaches, jam and tomatos this summer and tends her roses and has people over to dinner all the time. Keeping busy is definatly the way to avoid feeling old-can't do much about those gray hairs though I suppose there's allways Miss Clariol!

Dianne,

What is also scary is that, right, I look like my mother use to, but that my oldest, almost 40, is starting to and that my youngest, 17 looks just like her sister.

At least they will all know what they will look like when they get older.

What is great, about getting older, so many things do not matter anymore and you can say just what you think. Blame it all on a "Senior Moment"

I, too, have senior moments, but I'm only a junior. What do I have to look forward to?
