Search for resources - Ray Leonard - 29 Sept 01

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Experience into Words : One Thread

I am preparing a group exercise for adults around the theme of *Breathing* as a means to begin exploring our relationships in God. I am looking for any good resources that might help with a discussion around *breath and life and God* and I am looking for material that might help with designing a meditation through breathing. If anyone has any ideas or helpful resources I am all ears. Thank you.

Ray, There are two books which come to mind immediately. Body-Mind Meditaion, A Gateway to Spirituality, by Louis Hughes OP. He has a number of exercises: Allowing the Breath, Breath Mantra, Creation Meditation and Healing Breath.

The second book is Sadhana, a way to God, by Anthony de Mello S.J. His exercises are entitled: Breathing Sensations, God in my Breath, and Breath-Communication with God.

I'm not sure how available this second book is, if you are interested I can lend it to you. God Bless. Anne Marie.
