When time suddenly ceases to be money or career, one might think about taking a big timeout on the sea. I hear a wonderful way to do so is taking a trip on a freight ship. There are not many places you can do that, but the internet is a good place to look for them.

A friend of mine was able to get on a freighter from Hamburg to South America. The cost however was quite high. I remember him saying it cost about CHF 2'500.-. Nevertheless, because of having lots of time, he got a good look at the sea.
