Response to Trial Question

One asked: "What is pain" and another replied "Loss". And I say: Pain is the diamond which cuts through the rough stone to reveal truth. AM

Or a knot yet untied.

Anne Marie suggested that this thread was like a poem -- this was before some of the answers appeared. Here is one possible version (And I thik we should ascribe it to Anne Marie, because it is her lines that enable it to "lift off"):

What is pain?

Loss.

Or perhaps a lesson still not learned / or a knot as yet untied.

I say:

Pain is the diamond / which cuts through / the rough stone / to reveal / truth.
