If you are interested in one of these saints and want to find out more about him/her, please ask. Information is sometimes available on the Internet.

All you holy men and women, saints of God, pray for us.

Bl. Francis Xavier Seelos died of yellow fever and was buried in a crypt below a New Orleans church. He was beatified after the Church recognized his intercession in the miraculous 1966 healing, from inoperable liver cancer, of a woman named Angela Boudreaux.

Dear Moderator,
If it is within you power, please insert the following information into the original post (deleting this one). A very special woman was overlooked accidentally:

Bl. Faustina Kowalska [Sister Maria Faustina of the Most Blessed Sacrament, the "Apostle of Divine Mercy"] (Polish, member of Congregation of Sisters of the Divine Mother of Mercy, mystic, spiritual diarist, noted for Chaplet of Divine Mercy, d. 1938 [beatified 1993])

Thank you.

John:

I am pleased to advise you that Saint Faustina was canonized on April 30, 2000 by His Holiness Pope John Paul II. You can read all about it here: http://www.marian.org/divinemercy/faustina/index.html

St. Faustina, pray for us! Ed

Thank you, Ed. I had completely forgotten about that!
Dear Moderator, if you perform the transfer, it should read:

St. 1938 [canonized 2000])

Yes, David. Thank you. Blessed Raymond could be added too:

Bl. Raymond of Capua (Italian, Dominican friar and master general, spiritual director of St. Catherine of Siena, d. 1399)

[The site from which I get most of my information obviously has its imperfections!]

I have something to share about Blsd Francis Seelos. I had received a very large relic from Rome that I had encased in a very expensive reliquary that I had bought in Assisi, Italy. One day, I looked at my picture of Jesus-King and asked Him if He might allow me to make enough money at work so that I could pay for the Italian translation of a Litany I had written for St. Francis of Paola, whose relic I obtained in Assisi at the same time I bought Blsd Francis' reliquary. Within a few minutes, I noticed that my large relic of Blsd Francis had separated and a horizontal slice had fallen down into the bottom of the reliquary. I was greatly crushed when I saw this, however, when I saw this, I immediately remembered that I had stored away in a brief case $200 in Italian Lira that I was saving just so that I could go to Blsd Francis' canonization. I had forgotten about this money because I considered it unspendable due to my desire. I thanked Blsd Francis for the reminder, however, I was saddened to have to spend it because I wanted to go to his canonization even though I had no idea when God might deem that date to be. Call this coincidence, no way! This was an answer to my prayer by way of Blsd Francis.
