I have been working outside, and thought it was "quiet"....of course I am very alert...been watching the wind direction, the fall colors, and if there is any traffic more than normal.

Okay, you knew I would have a contrary report, didn't you?! As noted elsewhere, a couple of hours before the first retaliatory strike, I heard high-flying jets, something I don't hear very often around here. Yesterday Iheard the same around the same time and atatcks followed about two hours later. I shall pay particular attention today, might even unstrap myself from the notebook and see if I can see anything outside. True, flights to RDU may have chosen different flight paths for some reason or they may simply be military jets on patrol near international airports, but I like to think it's my own special head's up on .mil action.

If commercial airliners have quietly changed their flight paths for safety reasons, that could be why you're not hearing/seeing so much activity. As for the .mil planes, I expect they're busy elsewhere. . .

Sunday and Monday were the bluest skies I can remember. Prolly something to do with the severe cold front that moved in. I'm near a small civilian field, and I would have thought that this time of year there would be lots of touch-and-goes on weekends about now. A couple chemtrails by the time I left for work this morning.

Contrails.

The Des Moines airport has changed their flight path and protocol. We are 60 mi away and NEVER see an airplane except very occasionally a light plane. The planes going into DM are approaching from our direction now AND decending to very low altitudes.

Have heard some high flyers in the past week (especially this morning), but we are 100 mi from Offutt.
