Taliban airforce head 'killed in raids'

Reports say the air raids on Afghanistan have killed the head of the Taliban's air force.

The Islamic Republic News Agency says Akhtar Mohammad Mansour was killed during one of Monday's raids.

The news agency says another high-ranking military official, General Umar Ataie, was also killed. The general is commander of Nangarhar's First Battalion.

The agency is quoting sources within the Taliban.
