US Soldier Injured in Afghanistan-Related Mission WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. soldier involved in supporting U.S. strikes on Afghanistan was injured at an undisclosed location on Tuesday when he became trapped between two military vehicles, U.S. Central Command said.

The soldier was flown to Incirlik, Turkey, for treatment and was in critical condition, Central Command said in a statement.

``A U.S. soldier was injured today while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom,'' Central Command said, referring to the Pentagon's name for its anti-terrorism campaign.

The soldier's name was being withheld until next of kin was notified, the location of the accident was not disclosed for security reasons, and the cause of the accident was under investigation.

No other details were immediately available.
