I'm looking for hay and having a hard time finding square bales around here. There are plenty of large round bales to be had, but much of it is mix. Like Coastal, Sudan and Tifton. I am unfamilar with Sudan and Tifton. Does anyone know if that will be good for dairy goats? I will be supplementing my does hay with alfalfa, but the wethers would be eating this almost exclusively. Thanks for any thoughts on this!

Tifton 85 would be a very good source of protein and other nutrients that you would need for proper care of your animals. Go to some of the sites provided by Texas A&M or others and read for yourself. We have plenty of quality hay for sale in square bales. Our hay has been tested by A&M and you can read the results any time that you would like. Good luck. By the way we are in central Texas also.
