story?

Dunno if i'm in the right place writing this - and if I am well and good. In relation to the next gathering, I'd like to see some work on interpersonal development in it. Or maybe we're all far too mature for that. It might help with the old 'bonding' thing. Again - only a suggestion.

The other thing (and I know you tried it before Ray!) I'd like to see in the near future is to either go on a retreat together or to be a retreat to each other - maybe thats down the line.

Anyway - that's all - Ger

Thanks for that Ger. I think you are on to something there. I definitely think we could do a little interpersonal development as a group in a gentle but definite way. My own experience tells me that if we are to work with others and their issues, we need to have worked with ourselves and our issues firstly and have found some kind of ease and support and openness with each other. The richer the quality of work and interaction which we develop, the better will be our own output. I always considered that the more mature I got the more interested in interpersonal stuff I would be. They go together as far as I can see. And finally, I think a retreat given by someone who knows what they are at would be great. We could learn something about spending time in prayer together as well as see how the professionals really do these things. :)

I think that's a good idea of Ger's. I'd like to be on a retreat of this group where it's given by a trained facilitator. I could probably give a whole Sunday to it if necessary. I'm kind of out of the praying habit and a time of reflection & peace & prayer could certainlky re- charge some batteries. Joseph

wow a whole Sunday !!!! Are you sure you can handle the commitment ???

Only Kidding we think its a great idea. As usual we think Fr. Ger is wise and mature and we agree whle-heartedly with his suggestions. We look forward to him presenting his plans to the group at the next meeting.

I love the idea of a group retreat - great idea Ger! I know very little about what might be involved in interpersonal development (nothing to be honest!!) - but I look forward to hearing more....

I think that this idea will run. Do we want to begin considering a date for a retreat?
