BORING ADMIN STUFF

The evildoers are not going to keep the Hungarian and me from an estate sale at 8 in the morning. This means we will be leaving here at half-past the middle of the night. Veteran salers know that by 0600 there will be at least 30 people signed in, sometimes more. For those who have never attended an estate sale, it's a bit like watching locusts on a field of grain--you have to be in the first 10 to get lots of good stuff.

I shall take my scanner and a small radio with me because the Hungarian is a Luddite and won't let me change the stations on her radio in case I lose the classical station she likes. Remember, she is Zsa Zsa without the charm, lol. (This is the person who brought Hungarian cat food back for her and my cats--can you just see the customs folks when she declared and displayed it??? They did confiscate her Hungarian sausage--she never listens.)

Anyway, if something breaks, please someone rush over here to post it in case someone doesn't have CNN or Fox on. With luck, we won't have any problems this weekend, but. . . . I'll be back in before noon, I hope, and will try to stop in before I flake out for a nice nap. (We take sleeping bags but don't always get a lot of sleep in the back of the station wagon.)

I'll mostly be doing yard work, but will check in from time to time.

Git, sounds like serious business. Do the two of you go dressed in camouflage?

Funny you should say that. We stopped at a yard sale on the way home and I bought a brand-new camo hat for a buck. Now I can work on the yard and nobody can see me. It's got shotgun thingies too, just in case. (Did I ever tell you that camo outfits are known as "can't-see-me" suits in UK? Aka "hide-and-seek" suits.) I also bought a hand-made wooden cradle for the kitties--$4.50. ^The rest of the stuff was boring but useful. Gawd, I love Saturdays! Sweetie has gone to a hobby shop in Raleigh. He's into military miniatures this month, loves messing about in his playroom. He's avoiding ths state fairgrounds but only because of the traffic. Terrorize that, you assholes!
