I have tried everything but canning meat. I would like to give it a shot. How and is there a good how-to-book?-Thanks in advance.

the best $3 I have ever spent was on a Blue Book canning book put out by the Ball company. They have a website. Canned meat is great to have on hand. I can almost a whole deer each year and most people have a hard time telling it from beef. I have even had people insist that it must be beef!!! This book gives you all the directions. You will need to use a pressure canner. Melissa

The canner is going, even as we speak, with 7 pints of deboned chicken in broth. A lifesaver on busy days when I work and forget to take something out to thaw.
