Laundry discs

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

Hello,

Almost 2 years ago I purchased the laundry discs from Lehman's. There were a costly buy but I thought that they would be worth it in the long run. I have no idea how many loads of laundry that we do, so I never kept track of it, but I stopped using them after about 1 year, then (don't ask me why, it made sense at the time) I used them but added borax or A&H washing soda. I found that my clothes appeared clean, and I also noticed that when I started using them, the excess soap that remained in the clothes came out. Now, I'm wondering about buying another one. Has anyone else used them?

Chareleen, I have a Laundry ball. It is a small ball with little knobs all over it. You through it in with only a teaspoon of soap. It gently scrubs and fluffs! It is truely amazing. I bought a container of laundry soap 6 months ago and still have a little under half. The man who invented it has had the same one for over 20 years and they are guarantied. My distributer has a 800 number you can call and they can give you information and the name of someone near you. It's Brothers In Christ Distributors- 1-888-821-5111.Hope this helps.

I may be a fool with the rest of you but, I believe these laundry discs work. I've been using them for almost three years now and no complaints. I have allergic reactions to soaps and ever since we switched I've been great. I just noticed a new product - laundry capsule - which does 700 loads per capsule! It's a little pricier but not compared to detergents. Also, cuts down on wash time since you don't have to go through the rinse cycle (nothing to rinse out). I came across these in home improvement catalogs (home improvements, home trends, etc). One is www.improvementscatalog.com
