We live in Northern New York (Thousand Island region) and no one has heard of diatomaceous earth!!! Our organic dairy farmer friends can no longer get it from their normal supply house. Where can I obtain food grade diatomaceous earth that I can purchase without a shipping cost matching the purchase price!

Most folks order the 50 pounds. Shipping 50 pounds of ANYTHING is costly! There's a Canadian company that will ship 50 pounds to me here in Texas, and the shipping fee is $32. It would be considerably less to you in New York. If you're interested, let me know.

Talk to someone who handles Maple Syrup Supplies, or is going to a MS supply house to pick stuff up. Syrup producers use diatomaceous earth in their filtering systems and buy it in fairly large quantities. Good luck.
