Looking for a church bell

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Been given the task of searching for a church bell for our local church. I need leads on a new or used one. Need the kind used in a steeple with the big wheel for a rope. Any help out there? Thanks, Don

You didn't say what part of the country you are in. I have a line on a 16" bell out of a old school house. It has all of the hardware but the rope pully which should not be a problem to find a pully. I am in West Central Indiana.

Don, if you don't get a response about your school bell, I might be interested in it for a refurb of a one-room school house near us. Any more info? Thanks!

I, too am looking for a church bell for my church. However, we are all the way up in Kodiak, Alaska! Perhaps a ship's bell? Thanks for your thoughts.
