The cold north wind was blowin quite briskly awhile ago. I was over at ole Jeeps house and his Airdale [Griz] was really raisin thunder. Looked south across the creek and three deer were standing in the field. Those aggravatin things just keep ole jeep busy rebuildin the electric fence that keeps ole Jake in. Griz was already penned up for the night and for good reason. If he had been loose no tellin how many counties he'd run through chasin those scrawny deer! That's precisely WHY he's penned up!

Ole jeep had been depleting his supply of those nasty smellin fake lady bugs! He scoops'm up off his enclosed back porch and throws'm in his outside boiler. Talk about gettin hot! The stick rite smart too ---for a few minutes! He doesn't burn'n alive---sprayed with Malathon first---! Don't want no animal huggers a hollerin on us!

Hope everybody is ready for winter weather. All of us needs to check on the elderly and poor folks around us. I'd much rather give money to locals than to a major t.v. ministry! Somehow-it kinda bothers me to see some living in luxury off of donation of poor folks. Maybe I'm wrong but--maybe I'm not! Jesus is coming soon and I don't wanna have to answer for taking money from little old ladies who send money from their meger retirement checks. old hoot. Matt.24:44

Hey, Hoot. I'm gettin' ready cause winter's about here! I'm glad your thinking about the poor folks-We're taking in some cans of beef stew to the food pantry in town tomorrow and I've been going throgh the closets-I give my kids outgrown clothes to the Family Resource Center-this time of year there's a lot of little ones need warm clothes. When ever I finish a knit or crochet project, I use up my leftover yarn making hats, scarves and mittens for kids that need them. I've heard lately that there are a lot of charities that are not getting the donations they uasually get because everyone is giving money to WTC victims. Obviously, we want to do what we can for those families, but we also need to remember theres folks close to home that need our help.

Hey, Hoot, what are you talking about?? winter?? We don't get that here in south Texas until February. We are just putting in fall lettuce, etc.
