Prayer needed!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

Folks! I posted a thread on Christian Forum last week asking for prayer. I will elaborate on it a little more and ask on here for prayer also.

I also have written in the past how satan has tried to kill me for years and only by the Grace of Almighty God-the scum has failed. This time is no different than all those times before when he tried. The difference is with this problem the attitude could be different.

Last week I had tests in the hospital [outpatient surgery] for colon cancer. Regardless of the results [they won't be known until this Thursday or Friday] I will have to have some tumor/s removed--unless I receive the healing touch of Almighty God. I know who kept me alive before and this time He is still in control. Cancer is not any harder to heal than a bum back--which He healed for me in 83. It's still healed and will remain so until He calls me home. So----if ya'll want the old hillbilly around bugg'n ya'll for at least the next 20 years--I could sure use your prayers. It becomes really personal when it's you that is facing an insurmountable mountain--well, by human standards that is.

I'm not is the best of shape to undergo a major surgery like this requires and really there is no need of it when Divine Healing is available to those who believe and receive. I do and I will.

Thanks for the support folks. old hoot gibson. Matt.24:44

Lift up your eyes to the hills - where does your help come from? Your help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip- He who watches over you will not slumber; In deed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lords watches over you- the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm- He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. Psalm 121

I love you Hoot, my brother. Know that He is with you; this is not a suprise to Him, and that He will use you mightily in the days ahead...even through the trials to come.

In His Grace, and with prayer for you and your honey, Sissy

Oh Hoot, you'll be fine! Don't worry before you have something to worry about! A few weeks ago,my hubby had to take me to the hospital because my heart was racing, hurting and I had pain in my jaw and left arm. I spent the day in Intensive Care and have been diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation. In a few weeks I have to go for a stress test. It will not be on a treadmill cause I am slightly disabled. Just imagine an old, over weight lady with a cane on one of those machines! LOL! Anyway, I'm telling you this to explain that I refuse to worry about it. Just trust in the Lord and you'll be fine! Take it one day at a time and enjoy those days fully!

Hoot -- In August of last year, my thirty six year old brother was diagnosed with colon cancer. He knew something was wrong long before the doctors would admit it. By the time the doctors decided he might be right the cancer had metastasized to his liver. My brother and his wife had just had a new baby girl, and he had far too much to live for than to give in to cancer. As do you.

My brother was never a particularly religious man, but prayer guided him, and us, through. At the beginning of his illness he was given less than five percent chance of survival. Today, he is cancer free. This was due to determination, prayer and some amazing health professionals.

I know that God throws curveballs at us. Pretty regularly, actually. Looking back at my life, I realize the real biggies came at times when I began to doubt his presence. My mother died of cancer last October 28 -- I find it very interesting that your request for support from this group came on that day this year. My brother and mother both fought. God made his decision and left my brother to raise his family. He took our mother Home.

My prayers are with you. God has the plan, and we get to follow it. Hug Lil Dumplin, and keep the faith.

Hoot y'all know the Lord's will shall be done. Satan has no authority in the body and soul of a Child of God. Fear not (as if I need the to tell you). Praise God, may his light always shine through you.

Well tomorrow evenin is the big day. I have the dr's appt. at 5:pm Central time. I have peace about this whole thing and know that His Healing is available per I Peter 2:24. "by His stripes ye were healed" and I accept it. The results may be something different than what I would want to hear but that makes no difference to me. We don't live by sight. If we did it wouldn't be faith! A long story but just a little---He healed my lower back in 83. I'd completely lost a disc and the only thing separating the two lumbars was a NERVE! Overnight He fused it-with the nerve isolated from the horrible pain. The Dr told me earlier that it would fuse on it's own but would take years. Xrays showed it had fused overnight and it remained that way for ????? I never knew when it "unfused". About 3 years later I'd lifted too much too crooked and hurt another part of my back. Xrays showed the fused part of my lower back was-- unfused. In place where the disc used to be was a brand new one! It's STILL perfectly healed! So if He healed me back then when I asked and stood upon this same scripture He will do the same thing again! Glory!

There are other things wrong with this old hillbilly that I'm bellieving for healing of-----Diabetes and it's effects--including the heart problems.

I'll check back in tomorrow night and we can come together with the exact diagnosis and claim healing for it.

Thanks to all for their prayers and concern. I really appreciate it. Old hoot gibson. Matt.24:44
